I'm just stopped in and looked through the photo albums and it is really nice and exciting to see such great memories. Although I wasn't in H.S. I attended the school during my elementary years. My favorite memory is the Mustang Horse and climbing it every morning before school started! I found this site and went down memory lane with other pictures of the school and Perlacher Forest thru Ray and Gilda Littlejohn Northcott. There site is: http://members.aol.com/munichalum/munich By any chance does anyone know who Mr. Akagi is?? He was the 4th grade teacher who every kid wanted. There was actually a sign up sheet to get into his class!! He taught the Recorder and Auto Harp and put on performances for the Elementary. He taught for many many years. It took me a while to find this site -- OK -- so I'm a little slow :) -- I graduated from MHS in 1962 -- lived in Dachau at that time and prior to that we lived at Chiemsee Platz - I'll have to say that my time in Munchen from 1958 through mid 1962 was the most memorable and enjoyable time any kid could have had! I find myself feeling sorry for kids that never had an opportunity to travel as we "Army Brats" did. Thanks for creating this site -- brings back many fond memories. |

Well, I guess I will be the old-timer in here. This is a very attractive site all the way through here. Very organized and well designed. It was a pleasure to cruise around this site. I graduated from MAHS in 1963 and lived in Perlacher Forst from 61 to 63. I loved it there and believe me, I had a Blast! I run between Ft. Worth and Ky every year so I will see what comes up and when and I may get to visit with some of you young ones---lol. |
